doing great!

The boys are doing great!
its almost Christmas. not that they realize it. Ry likes to look at the pretty lights on the trees, and take an ornament off here and there. he's only ripped into one present. Anthony doesn't really pay the tree any attention.

Anthony does great at school! he likes to go and likes to come home so we assume he likes it just fine. Not sure how he actually does at school. He is prone to wandering, but the teacher says he participates a little.

His speech is getting better slowly. Still can't ask him any questions and get answers. he just repeats the last word i say, which is normal for ASD kids. He has lots more words and phrases. And he likes to sing. he was singing the alphabet song the other day, not very clearly. but when he got to the end i figured out what song it was. He knows all the theme songs to his fav cartoons by heart including movements. he's fun to watch!

I started getting lessons from a lady at his school about how to work with him. Last week it was playing pretend. keeping phrases short, long ones are too confusing and he couldnt follow. So i just gotta get on the floor and pretend with him, oh and give everything a label. he doesnt pick up on motions and labels like he should. Like to teach him "come here". I do the come here motion with the arm and say it. over and over. eventually he'll pick it up. so if someone is making the motion at him he'll know that they want him to come here.

His potty training is going great. I am up to taking him once an hour and he only has 1-2 accidents a day. He still doesnt tell me if he has to potty or if he has. and i can't ask him if he has to potty or peepee, he just repeats me. very frustrating. but at least he is learning.

Ryan oh ryan. lol. he's my bully by far. he's for the most part a regular 22 month old toddler. He doesn't talk that much still, if at all. but he let's it known what he wants. and uses the sign for "more" quite often. His newest is the blues clues motion. he'll walk around the house all day going "bu bu" (blues clues) and doing the light bulb type motion with his hands.
He can get out of his seat at the table now. can't quite get in it yet. He does good at ECI, she notices new sounds he's making and he'll mimic her sometimes. his fav last week was the sound a monkey makes. its hilarious!
