Things just keep looking UP!!!

My boys are really learning lately...

Ry had his physical and he is 36 lbs and 37 inches tall... Which is 4 lbs heavier and 1 inch taller than Anthony was at 2.5!! he's a big boy!
We got started with Early Steps last week, and I already see improvement. He'll mimic everything i say most of the time.. He'll come to me and want a bite of what i am eating so i'll say to him "what do you want?" so that he'll use words and ask me and he says "What do you want?" instead of answering the question. We are working on that lol. its cute, but not productive lol...
So for speech, we do group on Mondays, which is optional, only a few kids go. Then normal speech days are Tuesday at 10 for 30 minutes, then Kim comes out (shes the developmental lady) for an hour at 245. Then Wednesdays at 2 for 30 minutes. So they keep us busy! But he's doing sooo good!! Hopefully he'll learn some patience and turn taking before he starts school in February.
I haven't revisited potty training since August, figure i'll try in a few months.

Anthony is doing wonderful! His Language therapist is getting a christmas card!!! We can have a short conversation now, and he usually uses words to express his needs. He has his pronouns??? mixed up. For example instead of saying "Can you help me?" he says "Can you help you?" Which is normal for Autistic children.
His potty training is still so so, sometimes he comes home in the same pull up as he went to school in but not always. I am trying to get him in a every 2 hour routine. and its going good. he still has a few accidents. The other day, he told me he went potty and sure enough he was wet. and about 3-4 times he has told me he was poopy. Soon hopefully he'll tell me BEFORE he goes and not after.
We went to an open house at his school tonight and met a few of the kiddos. The teacher is really impressed with him and amazes her all the time with what he can do. Apparently he is getting really good at reading. I think i'll start him on some sight words flash cards. He can recognize the Month when it is written in numerous spots through out the classroom. and he can read his classmates names. He was reading dr. seuss one fish two fish in Ryans room today.   We have Miss Simmons and Starfall.com for that. Since he went to school in Texas he knows his whole alphabet and not all of them do. She hasn't started the alphabet yet, she is trying to figure out how she wants to introduce it to the kids. They are working on their colors though and thats where anthony was having difficulty.
She'll have all the same kiddos in her class again next year since they all arn't 5 yet. Most are only turning 4 this year. So they wont be moving on to Kindergarten.

He was addressing his classmates by name and asking them how they were. It's nice to know he uses names. He's very good with them and can remember almost everyone he meets. He doesn't talk about his classmates at home, he doesn't talk about school at home. I think that is part of his Autism, he's just not a huge conversationalist. But its nice that he is talking more and can ask me questions and tell me what he wants. It's hard to believe he'll be 4 in just 6 short weeks! Where has the time gone?!?!
I need to make an appt with his PCM and get him a referral for ABA therapy and see what they are gonna want us to do in that department.
I am busy working on getting ready for a craft show on Oct. 23rd. its just one day, and hope it goes well!!!
Josh is back on night shift and loves all the ppl he works with.
Well it is bedtime!!!
